Christmas Bacon Wrapped Flank Steak

Ingredientes

Marinade:

1 1/2 cup Salad Oil

3/4 cup Soy sauce

1/4 cup Worcestershire

1/3 cup lemon juice

1/2 cup Red wine vinegar

2 Tbsp dry mustard

2 1/4 tsp salt

1 Tbsp coarse ground pepper

1 1/2 tsp dry parsley flakes

3 crushed garlic cloves

Meat:

2 flank steaks cut into 1 inch strips lengthwise

Bacon to wrap flank steaks rolls

Toothpicks

Instrucciones

Mix all marinade ingredients.

Roll flank steak into pin wheels, wrap with one strip of bacon.

Use toothpicks to secure - keep track of how many toothpicks are in each to warn eaters to remove them.

Pour marinade over flank steak and marinade for at least 12 hours up to 24 - flipping once if possible.

Grill pin wheels on BBQ medium heat for 4-5 minutes a side. Ideal baste with marinade causing flame ups to “flame grill” the bacon. A little char is ideal.

Note the marinade is mostly oil so it will flame up significantly - keep an eye on it closely while grilling - AND be careful using the grill the next time!

Let rest for 5-10 minutes and serve - remind your guests about the toothpicks or they’ll dull your knives in them :-)

Option:

2024 - attempted braiding (plaiting) insread of pinwheeling. Worked well.

Cut steak in 2in strips

Cut into thirds lengthwise leaving 1-2 inches uncut on one end.

Lay bacon on each strip

Plait (braid) steak and bacon using toothpicks only on the end to keep the together
