Apple Clafoutis

For the custard:
3 eggs
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup gluten free flour
1 cup whole milk
1/2 stick melted butter
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
Cardamom to taste
Apples:
1 tbsp butter
3 Honeycrisp apples, sliced thin
1/4 cup of sugar
1/4 cup of dark rum
Instrucciones
Preheat the oven to 400F
Place sliced apples in a heavy bottomed skillet with butter and sugar over medium heat, lightly cook for 5 minutes, add a splash of rum. Meanwhile make the custard batter.
Butter and 9 or 10 inch pie pan and coat in sugar
Whisk sugar and eggs vigorously and then slowly incorporate the flour.
Drizzle in the milk, butter, vanilla and salt until smooth.
Place apples in the greased pan and cover with custard.
Bake until golden brown and crispy edges appear about 30 minutes.
Pour over the residual sauce from the pan of apples and
serve with sour cream mixed with sugar and a splash of rum.
