Italian Appetizer Bread

Ingrédients

1 tablespoon olive oil

3 garlic cloves, crushed

1 loaf (1 lb) frozen white or wheat bread dough, thawed

4 oz Genoa salami, sliced

¼ lb sliced provolone cheese

1 jar roasted red bell peppers, drained and chopped

3 green onions, chopped

1 egg, beaten with 1 teaspoon water

Poppy seeds

Instructions

Sauté garlic in oil until golden. Roll out dough and brush with garlic oil. Arrange salami, cheese, peppers, and green onions in the center. Fold sides to create a braid. Brush with egg and sprinkle with poppy seeds. Let rise 30-45 minutes. Bake at 350°F for 35 minutes or until golden. Slice and serve warm or at room temperature.
