Pecan Pie

Ingrédients

1/2 cup sugar

1 cup corn syrup

1/4 cup butter or margarine

1/4 tsp. salt

3 eggs, beaten

1/2 tsp. vanilla

1 cup pecans

1 unbaked pie shell

Instructions

Combine sugar, corn syrup, butter, and salt in a saucepan and cook over low heat until syrup boils, stirring as it cooks. Add hot syrup a little at a time to beaten eggs, stirring constantly. Cool, add vanilla and pecans, and pour into the unbaked pie shell. Bake at 400°F for 10 minutes; reduce temperature to 375°F and bake 35 to 40 minutes or until done.
