No Fail Crock Pot Beef Stew

3-4 carrots, peeled and sliced
3-4 potatoes, peeled and cut up
2-3 ribs of celery, sliced
1 onion, peeled and cut up
1-2 pounds lean stew beef or cut up chuck steak
1 can Golden Mushroom soup (Campbell’s) or Cream of Mushroom will work too
1 envelope onion soup mix (dry)
1 can of water
Instructions
Layer vegetables in a crock pot, then add meat on top. Mix the soups and water together and pour over meat. Put crock pot on low and cook all day till everything is tender. You might need to add more water, so check throughout the day. The measurements are not critical.
Notes
Great with some homemade wheat bread to dip into the stew.
