Pecan Pie Bars

2 cups white flour
1 cup brown sugar
½ cup butter
½ cup margarine
5 eggs
1 cup dark Karo syrup
¾ cup white sugar
dash of salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup broken pecans
Instructions
Mix flour and brown sugar. Cut in butter and margarine until coarse crumbs develop. Press this mixture into a 13" x 9" pan and bake 10 minutes at 350 degrees. Combine rest of the ingredients, except nuts, and blend well. Stir in pecans. Pour filling over crust and bake at 275 degrees for 50 minutes. Cool in pan before serving.
