Orange Sherbet

1 cup Sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons Orange Zest
1/4 teaspoons Salt
2 cups Freshly Squeezed Orange Juice (3 ½ oranges)
1 tablespoon Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
1 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract
1 1/2 cups Half & Half
Instructions
1. In a bowl combine all ingredients except half & half and whisk until sugar is completely dissolved about a minute. Whisk in half & half. Cover bowl and refrigerate until mixture is 40 degrees or below. About an hour.
2. Pour into ice cream maker and process until it is the consistency of soft serve ice cream. Transfer to a lidded container and place in freezer until ready to serve.
