Homemade Vegan Onion Bhajis

7tbsp flour
4 small brown onions or 2 large brown onions
1tbsp ground cumin
1/2 tsp salt
1tsp garlic granules
1tsp chilli powder
Instructions
Slice onion into thin strips
Mix flour with spices
Slowly add water to the mix until you get a thick, but not tough, batter is formed
Add the sliced onions to coat them in the batter
Heat veg oil to 190C
Cook each bhaji for 2 mins each side or until brown & crispy
Drain off excess oil on kitchen towel or a rack
Serve with raita (crème fraiche/ yoghurt mixed with dried mint, splash of lemon juice, salt & grated cucumber)
