Chocolate Pecan Cake

Ingrédients

1/2 cup old-fashioned rolled oats

3/4 cup boiling water

1/2 cup unsweetened chocolate cocoa

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup packed brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 large egg whites

1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F. Coat an 8-inch cake pan with nonstick cooking spray.

Stir the oats into the boiling water until cool to lukewarm. Whisk the flour with the baking soda, salt, and cocoa powder in a separate bowl.

Add the oats, sugar, and vanilla and fold in chocolate chips. Bake for 30 minutes or until cake tester comes out clean.

Let cool and serve.
