2 packages dry yeast
¼ cup warm water
2 cups boiling water
⅓ cup sugar
2 tablespoons shortening
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon salt
2 eggs
5 cups flour
Instructions
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Mix boiling water, sugar, shortening, butter, and salt; cool. Add yeast mixture, eggs, and flour. Refrigerate overnight. Roll out dough, cut into squares, and let rise. Fry in hot oil until golden brown on both sides. Serve warm.
