Pumpkin Pie Squares

1 large can (30 oz) pumpkin
1 tbsp pumpkin pie spice
3 eggs
1 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla
1 cup canned milk
Topping:
1 cake mix (white, yellow, or spice)
1 cup melted margarine
1 cup chopped nuts (optional)
Instructions
Blend all ingredients and pour into a 9" x 13" pan. Sprinkle cake mix over the top, then drizzle melted margarine and top with nuts. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour. Cool before serving.
