Garlicky Green Beans With Pine Nuts

1 ½ pounds green beans, trimmed
2 tablespoons olive oil
2 large cloves garlic, thinly sliced
⅓ cup (about 2 ounces) pine nuts
kosher salt and pepper

Instructions
Cook the beans. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the green beans; cook until tender, 3 to 5 minutes. Drain well.
Sauté the garlic and pine nuts. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook, stirring often, for 1 minute. Add the pine nuts; cook, stirring often, until garlic and pine nuts are golden brown, about 3 minutes.
Toss green beans with garlic and pine nuts. Transfer drained beans to skillet. Add kosher salt and pepper; toss to coat. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt, if using.
