Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

Ingrédients

2 1/8 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 tsp salt

1/2 tsp baking soda

12 tbsp butter, melted and cooled to room temperature

1 cup light brown sugar

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 large egg yolk

2 tsp vanilla extract

2 cups chocolate chips

Sea salt, for sprinkling over bars (optional)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 325°F. Spray a 9x13 inch pan with nonstick spray and set aside.

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda. Set aside.

In a stand mixer, mix the melted butter and sugars until combined. Add egg, egg yolk, and vanilla; mix until smooth. Slowly add dry ingredients, mixing on low until combined. Stir in chocolate chips.

Pour dough into prepared pan, smoothing the top with a spatula. Sprinkle lightly with sea salt if desired.

Bake 25-30 mins or until golden and edges pull away from the pan. Cool in pan, cut into squares and serve.

Notes

Double the recipe for a larger cookie sheet.
