1 1/3 cups light Karo syrup
1/2 pound butter
1 pint cream
2 cups sugar
Nuts (optional)
Instructions
1. Combine Karo syrup, butter, cream, and sugar in a heavy saucepan over high heat.
2. Stir constantly and bring to a boil.
3. Continue boiling for 7 minutes until soft-ball stage.
4. Stir in nuts if desired, then pour into a buttered pan.
5. Cool to room temperature and cut into squares.
