1 cup pink dahl, in separate bowl, cover with water, wash then drain
1.5 onions, chopped
5 tomatoes, chopped
2 tsp ginger garlic paste
1 small cauliflower, chopped
1 small capsicum, chopped (green pepper)
3 carrots, peeled and chopped
1 large potato, peeled and quartered
1/2 tsp turmeric
1 tsp salt
1 tsp chili powder
2 large alatchi and few small alatchi
Instructions
In a pressure cooker, add the oil, ginger, garlic paste, onion, alatchi, salt, chili powder, turmeric, and saute. Add the dahl and large chunked potato. Add tomatoes, about 1 1/2 quarts. Seal pressure cooker. Turn on high heat and pressure for 4 whistles. Let pressure come down. Wash pressure cooker. Put ghee in pressure cooker and add rice and cover. Set pressure. Put ghee in pressure cooker. Put rice in pressure cooker and cook under pressure. Before serving, add peas, sugar and stir.
