3 cups all-purpose flour
2 ½ teaspoons instant yeast
3 tablespoons granulated sugar
1 ¼ teaspoons salt
¾ cup instant mashed potatoes
3 Tablespoons unsalted butter, room temperature
1 egg, room temperature
½ cup Carnation Evaporated Milk
½ cup water
4 Tablespoons of melted butter to brush on the rolls, divided

To speed the rising process, measure Carnation Milk and water in a glass liquid measuring cup and place in the microwave for 30 seconds until warm.
Pour all of the dough ingredients into the bowl of a stand mixer except for the melted butter. Alternatively, if a stand mixer is unavailable, mix in a large bowl. Mix until a shaggy dough forms. Knead the dough in the mixer fitted with the dough hook for about 7 minutes, or knead by hand for 10 minutes until smooth.
Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl and cover with a clean kitchen towel. Allow the dough to rise for 90 minutes in a warm spot.
Grease a 9x13” pan with butter and set aside.Transfer the dough to a greased work surface. Roll the dough into a large 8” x 12” inch rectangle.
Melt 2 Tbsp of butter in the microwave.
Cut the dough in half lengthwise to make two 4” x 12” rectangles and brush each half with the melted butter. Fold each rectangle in half lengthwise. It won’t be perfect, and that’s ok!
Cut each rectangle crosswise into 3” pieces and place into the prepared baking pan fitting them into the pan the best you can. Cover with a clean kitchen towel and allow them to rise for 45 minutes in a warm place.
After about 20 minutes of rising, preheat the oven to 350. Bake the rolls for 20 minutes until golden brown.
Melt the remaining 2 Tbsp of butter in the microwave and brush over the top of the rolls after they come out of the oven. Serve warm with softened butter and honey.
