Homemade Ketchup Recipe

6 oz can tomato paste

1/4 cup maple syrup

1/2 cup apple cider vinegar

1/2 cup water

3/4 tsp salt

1/4 tsp onion powder

1/8 tsp garlic powder

In a medium saucepan, combine the tomato paste, maple syrup, vinegar, and water. Stir until well mixed.

Add the salt, onion powder, and garlic powder to the mixture. Stir to combine.

Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer.

Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking.

Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the ketchup cool to room temperature.

Transfer the homemade ketchup to a clean jar or bottle and refrigerate for at least an hour before using, allowing the flavors to meld together.
