Chicken Rub

Ingredienser

1 T salt

2 T sugar

1/4 t garlic powder

1/4 t onion powder

1/4 t paprika

1/2 T lemon juice

1/2 t pepper

1 T basil

2 T olive oil

Fremgangsmåte

Mix all ingredients into a paste. Rub under and over chicken skin.

Notater

Add beef bouillon to drippings for gravy and cornstarch to thicken

This is the rub recipe that I use when making a turkey. I take this mix and add it to a stick of softened butter - than rub that all over the turkey. Under and over the skin and in the cavity.....

This works for both roasting the turkey as well as smoking it.
