Lazy Cabbage Roll Bake

2 tsp Canola oil

1 lb Extra-lean ground beef

1 c Chopped celery

1 c Chopped onion

14 oz Can of diced tomatoes (with juice)

14 oz Can of tomato sauce

1 c Long-grain brown rice

1 c Water

1/2 tsp Pepper

5 c Shredded cabbage, lightly packed

1 c Grated carrot

Wskazówki

Heat canola oil in large frying pan on medium.

Add next 3 ingredients. Scramble-fry for about 10 minutes until celery is softened.

Add next 5 ingredients. Heat and stir until boiling. Transfer to greased 9 x 13 inch (23 x 33 cm) baking dish.

Scatter cabbage and carrot over beef mixture.

Bake, covered, in 350°F (175°C) oven for about 1 1/2 hours, stirring at halftime, until rice is tender. Let stand, covered, for 10 minutes. Makes about 8 cups (2 L).
