✔ 1 tsp vanilla extract (enhances the flavor!)
✔ ½ cup raisins (optional) (adds crunch & texture!)
Instruções
1️⃣ Preheat & Prepare the Baking Pan
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease and lightly flour a 9-inch round or square baking pan.
2️⃣ Mix the Dry Ingredients
In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
Set aside.
3️⃣ Cream the Butter & Sugars
In a large mixing bowl, beat together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each.
Stir in vanilla extract and applesauce.
4️⃣ Combine & Fold in Nuts/Raisins
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring until just combined.
If using, fold in chopped walnuts or raisins for extra texture.
5️⃣ Bake Until Perfectly Golden
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and smooth the top.
Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack.

For extra indulgence, drizzle with a vanilla glaze, caramel sauce, or cream cheese frosting!
Quick Vanilla Glaze:
✔ 1 cup powdered sugar
✔ 2 tbsp milk
✔ ½ tsp vanilla extract
Whisk together until smooth and drizzle over cooled cake!
