This bake is so simple. First, make the base by combining 90g of melted butter, 120g of soft brown sugar, 150g of plain flour and 70g of ground almonds. Press into a small (18cm x 32cm) lined lamington pan and bake in a preheated 170°C oven for 12 minutes. For the almond topping, melt 115g of honey and 160g of chopped butter in a small pan and simmer for three minutes. Stir in 240g of slivered almonds.
Remove the base from the oven when lightly browned and pour over the almond topping. Return to the oven and bake for another 15 minutes. Cool in the tray, sprinkle over salt flakes, then cut into squares. Done!
