3 tbsp corn starch
1/2 tbsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2 tbsp vegetable oil divided
1 lb broccoli (i used 2 medium heads) chopped into bite size pieces
Stir fry sauce:
1 tbsp finely chopped ginger
2 tbsp finely chopped or pressed garlic
1 cup warm beef broth (i microwaved for 1 minute)
12 tbsp soy sauce (low sodium is fine)
6 tbsp packed brown sugar
3 tbsp corn starch
3 tbsp sriracha
1/2 tsp black pepper
3tbsp seasame oil
Directions
Instructions:
1. Prep: throw flank steak in the freezer for 30 mins and then pull out to slice. Makes it way easier to get thin strips! Pleace strips in a ziplock with the garlic, salt, and pepper listed below it. Shake around until well covered. Set aside.
2. Combine all stir fry sauce ingredients in a bowl and whisk. Set aside.
3. Place a large skillet over medium heat and add 1 tbsp oil. Add broccoli florets and 2 tbsp water and saute 4-5 minutes. Check crispness and if it needs more time, cover with lid completely and cook additional 2-3 mintues. Remove from pan into side bowl.
4. Add 1 tbsp oil to pan and increase heat to high. Add beef to pan in a single layer and saute 2 mins per side. Transfer to plate and cover with tin foil to keep warm.
5. Reduce heat to medium low and add the sauce. Light simmer for 3-4 minutes. It will thicken. Add back in beef and coat with sauce. Then add broccoli and mix all together until well combined.
6. Serve with rice or whatever side you want.
