Directions
Slice citrus in half. Then, slice each half again. You should have 4 sections.
Slice the citrus so it’s thin enough to bend. Repeat with all citrus.
To layer - start by bending the citrus & placing in a corner of one of the silicone cube compartments. Keep layering until you have a little bit of space left in the center. Take one of the smaller slices of citrus & gently roll it, skin side up, & place in the center to create the rose bud.
Options: you can mix up the citrus in each of these! I chose to do two orange cubes, two lemon cubes, and two orange, lemon & lime cubes.
Tuck mint leaves on the outer corners of the cube compartments, or even in the center of the bud. You can also use raspberries to place in the center of the bud!
Using a measuring cup or pitcher, carefully pour water over each cube compartment, about ¾ of the way. You want the skin of the citrus to be above water if possible.
Freeze for 8 hours or overnight.
Serve with your favorite drink! I used lemonade & seltzer. Enjoy!
