Chicken Parm

total timeIngredients
All purpose flour
Panko bread crumbs
Italian seasoning
Parmesan cheese
Provolone cheese sliced
Shredded mozzarella (if you want)
Eggs (about 1 egg for every 2 chicken breasts)
Salt and pep
Some kind of oil for pan frying
Some sort of tomato sauce (I like to use a pasta sauce like tomato basil or roasted garlic one, some recipes call for marinara, I’ve tried a bunch of different sauce types and pretty much comes out the same every time)
Pasta- we use Angel hair but whatever works (make sure to get an extra jar of the pasta sauce above to toss into the actual pasta )
Directions
Preheat oven to 450
Pound the chicken to an even thickness (do not skip this it’s a game changer)
Make 3 seperate bowls
Bowl with eggs (whisked)
Bowl with Breadcrumbs mixed with the Italian seasoning and some of the Parmesan (I just eyeball it)
Bowl with flour
Coat chicken in flour
Coat chicken in egg
Coat chicken in breadcrumb mixture (kinda press the chicken and the crumbs so it really sticks)
Turn a pan on medium high with some oil and brown the chicken on both sides (don’t fully cook it’ll finish in the oven)
**you don’t HAVE to pan fry before. You can just throw them straight in the oven if you want but we’ve found the flavor to be WAY better if you do this first
Put all the chicken on a pan.
Spoon on some tomato sauce to each piece(don’t go all the way to edge)
I like to sprinkle some Parm on the tomato sauce
. Place the provolone slice and mozzarella on top of that.
Bake for 15-20 min or until cheese starts browning
This is when I cook the pasta in the meantime
Sprinkle some more Parm on whatever you want and that’s it lol
