Sauté:
2 cups minced onion
2 minced cloves garlic
1/3 cup olive oil
2 lbs. Ground beef
Simmer:
2 (1 LB 13 oz. ) cans peeled to-
matoes
4 ((8 oz.).) cans tomato sauce
3 tsp. dried oregano
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 tsp. onion salt
3/4 T. sugar
Splat of red wine
1 lb. Lasagna
1 1/2 lbs. Ricotta cheese
1 lb. Mozzarella cheese thinly
slices
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
• In stock pot, sauté onion and
garlic in oil until lightly
browned –add chuck and cook
until meat loses red color.
Add next 7 ingredients and
simmer 2 1/2 hours– or until
thickened. (Meanwhile) cook
lasagna as package directs, stir-
ring occasionally.
• Us cooking spray on sides and
bottom of lasagna pan. Place
several spoonfuls of sauce and
top with layer of lasagna. Then
ricotta, mozzarella, and parme-
san. Now repeat – sauce, lasa-
gna, ricotta, mozzarella, parme-
san. – End with sauce topped
with Parmesan. Bake until
bubbly. Allow to stand 15 min-
utes before serving
