Ingredients

1 chicken, cut up

2 sprigs parsley

3 stalks of celery with leaves

1 carrot

1 onion

2 tsp. salt

1/4 tsp. pepper

Dumplings;

I cup sifted all purpose flour

2 tsp. baking powder

1/2 tsp. salt

1/2 cup milk

2 T. salad oil

Directions

• Clean and cut chicken, celery, carrots and onion. Put these first 7 ingredients in a pot and add enough water to just cover the top. Cook for 1 hour.

• When chicken is done mix in a bowl the dumpling recipe and drop by large spoonfuls on top of the chicken in the boiling broth. Cover tightly and re- turn to simmer. Cook 12 - 15 minutes. Make gravy with broth and serve.
