Ingredients

1/2 onion, peeled and roughly chopped

•1/2 cup peeled garlic cloves

•4 scallions roughly chopped

•3 tbsp toasted sesame seeds

•1/2 cup sugar

•1 large kiwi

•1 cup soy sauce

•1/2 cup mirin, apple juice, or water

•1 cup fresh orange juice

•1/2 cup toasted sesame oil

Directions

Add the onion, garlic, scallions, sesame seeds, and sugar to a clean blender jar. Halve the kiwifruits, and use a spoon to scoop out the flesh. Add the flesh to the jar of a blender, and toss out the skins. Add the remaining ingredients to the blender, and purée the mixture on high speed just until a smooth sauce forms, about 10 seconds. Pour the marinade into a sealable jar or container, and store it in the refrigerator for up to 1 week.
