Anna Steen's Dumplings

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter

1 cup flour

1 cup boiling water

4 eggs

1 tsp salt

Directions

Melt butter in heavy saucepan.

Add flour and mix over low heat until smooth.

Add boiling water all at once and stir until dough slips the pan.

Cool.

Add eggs one at a time, beating well in between each egg.

Add salt.

(I'm going to add extra spice here but I don't know which)

Form dumplings with a teaspoon and drop into boiling water. Cook 3-5, until pale and fluffy.

(I'll cook them in my soup, thank you)

Notes

The recipe likes like it could be bland unless you add spice and cook the dumplings in the soup. I also made up the amount of prep time.
