Ingredients

2 cup Rice Flour

1 cup Jaggery

2 Cardamom

2 Banana riped

1 cup Grated Coconut

10 Big Maple Leaves

Directions

In a pan, roast rice flour and allow it to cool.

In a blender make a fine paste with jaggery, banana and cardamom.

In a bowl mix the paste and rice flour really well to make a loose dough.

Add grated coconut and knead the dough well.

Hold the back side of maple leaf facing up, then bring either ends of the leaf from left and right towards the centre along with the top portion of the leaf to make it into a cup.

Make a small ball (which can fit into above cup) of the dough and place it into the maple cup and seal up by folding bottom portion of the leaf and wrap the stalk around the cup and stick it into the cup by piercing through the leaf.

Do the same for all the dough and with the maple leaves.

Then steam the all for 15 minutes.

Kumbilappam is ready to serve.
