Spicy Cheese And Sausage Tortillas

Ingredients

1 lb mild Italian sausage, casing removed

1/4 c green onion, chopped

1/4 c green pepper, chopped

1 c chunky picante sauce

1/2 c fresh parsley, chopped

2 T fresh lime juice

6 six-inch flour tortillas

1 1/2 c (6 oz) Monterey Jack cheese, shredded

Directions

Cook sausage, onion and green pepper in large skillet until sausage is brown and crumbly. Drain off excess fat. Stir picante sauce, parsley and lime juice into meat mixture. Divide meat mixture and spread onto six tortillas on baking sheets. Top each with cheese. Broil about 5 inches from heat source in preheated broiler until cheese melts. Serve immediately.

Notes

This is an easy, amazingly delicious take on a quesadilla. The sausage and parsley make a good combination. A Tills family favorite.
