15-Minute Garlic-Butter Tortellini

Ingredients

4 cloves garlic

2 (9-ounce) packages fresh cheese tortellini, or 1 (16 to 20-ounce) package frozen tortellini

4 tablespoons unsalted butter

1/2 medium lemon

Kosher salt

Freshly ground black pepper

Grated Parmesan cheese, for serving

Directions

Step 1

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil over medium-high heat. Meanwhile, mince 4 garlic cloves.

Step 2

Add the tortellini to the boiling water and cook according to package instructions until al dente. Meanwhile, melt 4 tablespoons unsalted butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté until fragrant, 1 minute. Remove from the heat, squeeze in the juice of 1/2 lemon, and season with kosher salt and black pepper.

Step 3

When the tortellini is ready, drain in a colander. Add the tortellini to the sauce and toss to coat. Garnish with grated Parmesan cheese.
