Shepherd’s Pie

1 lb ground meat
2 tbsp olive oil
1 cup chopped onion
2 tsp parsley
1 tsp salt
1 tsp Rosemary
1 tsp thyme
3/4 tsp pepper
1 tbsp Worcestershire
2 garlic cloves
2 tbsp flour
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 cup beef broth
1 cup peas and carrots
Mashed Potatoes
2 lb potatoes
8 tbsp butter
1/3 cup of half and half
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
Salt to taste
Directions
Start boiling potatoes separately.
Add oil to skillet and cook onion for 5 min
Add beef, herbs, salt, and pepper and cook until browned.
Add Worcestershire and garlic, then flour and tomato paste.
Add broth, peas, and carrots. Bring to boil and then simmer for 5 minutes.
When potatoes are done, strain, add the remaining ingredients and mash / mix.
Put mashed potatoes on top of beef mixture and cook uncovered at 400 for 20 minutes.
