Pesto Garlic Bread

¼ cup (½ stick) butter, softened
½ cup store-bought pesto
¼ cup shredded Parmesan cheese
1 long sourdough baguette
Directions
Turn the broiler to high.
In a small bowl, mix together the butter, pesto, and cheese well. Slice the baguette lengthwise and spread evenly with the pesto mixture.
Place 4 to 5 inches below the broiler until brown and bubbly, but not too brown. Remove from the oven, slice into 2-inch pieces, and serve-or run like hell to another room and eat it all by yourself.
