Grandmas Broccoli Salad

Ingredients

3 heads broccoli florets

1/2 red onion, chopped very fine

10-12 slices of bacon, diced and fried

1/2 cup raisins (optional)

1 cup mayonnaise

2 tsp or 2 tablespoons vinegar (to taste)

1/3-1/2 cup sugar (to taste)

(Adjust the sugar to vinegar depending on how tart you want it. )

Combine the broccoli, onion, raisins.

Let sit in the fridge to get cold.

Mix the mayo, vinegar and sugar together, let sit.

When ready to serve:

Mix the dressing over the broccoli.

Add the bacon at the last second so it doesn’t get soggy.

Note: The Next day, the raisins can get soggy, so if you don’t like that, let the raisins get dry or “stale” before you add them.
