Creamed Chicken

1/3 cup butter or margarine
2/3 cup slice fresh mushrooms
5 T. flour
1/2 tsp. salt
Dash pepper
1 1/3 cups chicken broth, canned if desired
1/2 cup light cream
2 cups cut up chunks of cooked or canned chicken or turkey
Directions
• In double boiler top, over direct heat, melt butter; add mush- rooms; sauté 5 minutes. Stir in flour, salt, pepper, till smooth.
• Place over boiling water; slowly stir in broth, cream,; cook, stirring, until thickened. Add chicken; heat well.

Serve on, with, or in: Toast, biscuits, potatoes or buttered noodles Rice, chow mien noodles toasted split English muffins cooked broccoli or asparagus
