Salted Caramel

1 cups sugar
¼ cup water
¾ cup heavy whipping cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 teaspoon salt
Directions
Add water and sugar to a pot over medium heat. Stir constantly until suger melts and starts to bubble just a little
Bring to a medium high heat and stop stirring. Continue to boil without stirring until the color turns amber.
Remove from heat and slowly and carefully add the cream. Add the butter and stir to incorporate
Once the butter is melted and incorporated add the vanilla and salt
