BREAKFAST Biscuit Gravy Sausage Egg Casserole

Directions

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.

Brown 1 lb of breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat.

Once fully cooked, drain it on a paper towel lined plate. Set aside 2 tbsp for later use.

Open an 8-count package of homestyle biscuits and cut each one into 9 pieces.

Place those into the bottom of a greased 9x13 baking dish.

In a bowl, whisk together 8 eggs with 1/4 cup of milk and season with salt and pepper and some cajun seasoning (optional).

Now pour the sausage over the biscuits in the baking dish.

Top that with 2 cups of grated cheddar cheese.

Pour the eggs over the entire dish.

Prepare 1 (2.75) oz package of Pioneer Country Gravy Mix and add those 2 tbsp of reserved sausage to it.

Pour the gravy all over the top of the casserole and bake for 45-50 minutes or until everything is cooked through.

Serve hot and enjoy!

If making the night before, prepare as directed but allow it to cool to room temperature then cover with plastic wrap or foil and refrigerate. In the morning, bake it per the directions above!
