Texas Sheet Cake

Ingredients

Cake:

2 sticks butter

1 cup water

4 tablespoons baking cocoa

2 cups sugar

2 cups flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 eggs

1 cup sour cream

1 teaspoon baking soda

Frosting:

1 stick butter

4 tablespoons baking cocoa

6 tablespoons milk

1 pound powdered sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

Cake:

1. Heat butter, water, and cocoa in a pan until butter is melted.

2. Add sugar, flour, and salt and mix well.

3. Beat in eggs, sour cream, and baking soda.

4. Pour into a 12x18 cookie sheet pan sprayed with non-stick cooking spray and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes.

Frosting:

1. Melt butter, cocoa, and milk in a sauce pan, then bring to a boil. Remove from heat and stir in powdered sugar and vanilla.

2. Spread frosting on warm cake.

3. Serve warm or let cool. Serve with ice cream if desired.
