Creamy Lemon Garlic Chicken

Ingredients

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 teaspoon paprika

2 tablespoons olive oil

3 tablespoons butter

4 garlic cloves, minced

1 cup chicken broth

1 cup heavy cream

1/4 cup fresh lemon juice

1 teaspoon lemon zest

1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning

1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Directions

Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika.

Heat the olive oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the chicken and cook for 5-6 minutes on each side until golden brown and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.

In the same pan, melt the butter and sauté the garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.

Pour in the chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the pan to deglaze. Let it simmer for 2 minutes.

Stir in the heavy cream, lemon juice, lemon zest, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes. Simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.

Return the chicken to the pan, spooning the sauce over it. Let it simmer for another 2 minutes.

Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
