Chicken N Dumplings

Chicken:
Whole chicken
1 tsp salt
Onions
Garlic
Dumplings:
2 cups flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
4 Tbsp crisco
2/3 cup warm water
1 Tbsp butter
Directions
Cook chicken in water with 1 tsp salt and onions and garlic for flavor.
After chicken is cooked remove from pot and debone and shred
Dumplings:
Mix dry ingredients then add crisco and warm water. Bring the left over water from the chicken to a boil and Pinch off pieces of dumplings and drop them in to cook. After dumplings are cooked through add the shredded chicken back to the pot and add 1 tablespoon of butter.
