Ingredients

1 cup cranberry juice (preferably unsweetened or lightly sweetened)

1/2 cup vanilla syrup or vanilla extract mixed with simple syrup

1/2 cup heavy cream or coconut cream (for a dairy-free option)

1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (optional, for added sweetness)

Crushed ice

Frosted sugar for rim garnish

Fresh cranberries or mint leaves for garnish (optional)

Directions

Prepare the Glass:

Moisten the rim of your glass with a little water or lime juice.

Dip the rim into a plate of frosted sugar (you can also use coarse sugar for a snow-like effect). Set aside to let it set.

Make the Vanilla Swirl:

In a small bowl or cup, mix the heavy cream (or coconut cream) with the vanilla syrup (or vanilla extract + simple syrup). Stir until the cream becomes smooth and well mixed. If you like it sweeter, add honey or maple syrup to taste.

Prepare the Cranberry Base:

In a separate cup, pour the cranberry juice and give it a quick stir.

Assemble the Drink:

Fill your frosted-glass with crushed ice.

Pour a little of the cranberry juice into the glass, then carefully pour the vanilla cream mixture over it, allowing the two to swirl together.

Garnish and Serve:

Garnish with fresh cranberries or a sprig of mint for a festive touch.

Tips:

For a smoother swirl, pour the cranberry juice slowly and let it mix gently with the vanilla cream for a marbled effect.

For an extra holiday flair, serve with a cinnamon stick or star anise as a garnish.

Adjust sweetness to your preference by adding more or less vanilla syrup or honey.

The Winterberry Vanilla Swirl is a creamy and festive mocktail, perfect for cozy winter nights or holiday celebrations, and it makes a stunning visual presentation with its swirled colors and frosted rim!
