German Apple Pancakes From Dorathy

2 large green apples, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced.
3 tablespoons butter
3 eggs
1/2 quarter pound butter
2 tablespoons cinnamon
1/2 cup of milk
1/2 cup flour
Lemon juice (optional )
Directions
In 10 or 12 inch oven proof skillet, sauté apples in 3 tablespoons of butter until soft. Mix eggs, milk and flour together. Pour egg mixture over apples and bake at 500° until it puffs up and browns around the edges approximately 10 minutes.
Melt other portion of butter and pour over baked pancake. Sprinkle with 1/2 cup sugar mixed with 2 tablespoons of cinnamon. Return to oven for five minutes until sugar melts. If desired squeeze lemon over and serve warm.
