Hot Wings Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 cup flour

1/4 teaspoon paprika

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1-2 pounds chicken wings

Oil for deep frying

1/4 cup butter

1/4 cup hot sauce (like Frank’s red hot)

1/2 teaspoon pepper

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

Directions

Add the flour, paprika, cayenne, salt, and garlic powder to a large zipper bag. Add the wings and toss to coat evenly with the flour mixture. Refrigerate until ready to cook.

Add the oil to a heavy bottomed pot, to a depth of about one inch. Heat the oil over medium heat to 375 degrees.

Fry the wings in the hot oil for 10-15 minutes, until golden brown and at least 165 degrees. Drain on paper towels, then move to a medium bowl.

To make, the sauce, add the butter, hot sauce, pepper, and garlic powder to a small saucepan. Heat the sauce over medium heat, stirring frequently, until the butter is melted and the sauce is smooth. Pour the sauce over the wings and toss to coat. Serve hot.
