1 sheet puff pastry
200g Brie (slightly frozen for easier handling)
Cranberry sauce
Chopped nuts (e.g., walnuts)
1 egg yolk mixed with 1 tsp milk (for egg wash)
Honey for drizzling
Fresh rosemary for garnish
Salt and pepper
Directions
Prepare the Brie:
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F). Slightly freeze the Brie for 30 minutes, then carefully scrape off some of the rind if desired. Slice or cube the cheese thinly.
Prepare the Puff Pastry:
Cut the puff pastry into 4 rectangles by halving it both lengthwise and widthwise. Spread a layer of cranberry sauce over each rectangle and top with slices of Brie and a sprinkle of chopped nuts.
Shape the Twists:
Roll each rectangle tightly, then slice it in half lengthwise. Twist the two halves together with the filling facing outward, tucking the ends underneath. Repeat for all pieces to make 8 twists.
Bake the Twists:
Arrange the twists on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Sprinkle with salt and pepper, brush with egg wash, and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden and flaky.
Finish with Honey:
As soon as the twists come out of the oven, drizzle with honey and garnish with fresh rosemary for an extra festive touch.
Serve warm and enjoy the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and flaky goodness!
