Nancy's Spaghetti Sauce

2 pounds Italian sausage
1 -8 ounce onion, chopped
6 cloves fresh garlic, minced
1 quart roma tomatoes
2 ( 6-ounce ) cans tomato paste
2 (15-ounce ) cans tomato sauce
1 cup water with Better than beef Bouillon
1 bay leaf
3 teaspoons dried basil
2 teaspoons dried oregano
2 teaspoons dried parsley flakes
1 teaspoon ItalianSeasoning
1 1/2 teaspoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon Sea Salt
Pinch crushed red pepper flakes
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
1/2 cup red wine ( a good cabernet)
Directions
1. in my large blue heavy stockpot, brown sausage, breaking up as you stir salt & pepper
2. Add onions and continue to cook, stirring occasionally until onions are softened, add garlic
3. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, tomato sauce, water and Bouillon cube, and bay leaf.
4. Add basil, oregano, parsley, Italian seasoning, brown sugar, sea salt, pinch crushed red pepper flakes and black pepper.
5. Stir well and barely bring to a boil.
6. Stir in red wine.
7. Simmer on low, stirring frequently for at least and 1 1/2 hours or in crockpot 8 hours on low
