A Chocolate Chip Cookie Shake-Up: Toll House Marble Squares

Ingredients

**WHISK:

1 cups plus 2 tablespoons of flour

1/2 teaspoon of salt

1/2 tsp. baking soda

**BLEND:

1/2 cup butter, softened

6 tablespoons of granulated sugar

6 tablespoons of brown sugar

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

1/4 teaspoon water

**BEAT IN:

1 eggs

**ADD FLOUR MIX:

**STIR IN:

1/2 cup of chopped walnuts, optional

**SPRINKLE WITH:

1 cup chocolate chips

Directions

PREHEAT: Bake to 350 degrees.

1. Whisk flour, baking soda and salt. Set aside

2. Blend butter, sugars vanilla and water with mixer.

3. Beat in egg.

4. Add flour mixture and mix well.

5. Stir in nuts if you are using them.

6. Spread batter in a greased 9 x 13 pan.

7. Sprinkle with chocolate chips.

8. Bake 1 minutes.

9. Remove from oven and run knife through the batter to swirl and marbelize the chips.

10. Return to the oven and continue baking for 12 to 14 minutes.

11. Cool cut into bars.
