Oatmeal Cake

Cake:
1/2 cup boiling water
1 cup oatmeal
1/4 stick oleo
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 1/3 cup flour sifted
2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
Nuts and raisins
Vanilla
Coconut Icing:
6 tablespoons oleo
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup milk
1/2 cup coconut
1/2 cup chocolate nut
1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
Cake:
Pour boiling water over oatmeal and let stand until cool.
Cream together, the butter and the sugars. Add in the eggs. Add in the vanilla. Add in the oatmeal and the sifted flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nuts and raisins.
Bake at 350° for about 35 minutes or until done.
Coconut icing:
Melt butter and mix the rest of the ingredients. When thoroughly dissolved (5 minutes) pour over cake after it comes out of the oven.
