Ingredients

2 cups sifted flour

1 cup butter

½ cup sugar

Pinch of salt

1 egg, beaten

½ cup chopped almonds

Directions

Preheat oven to 375°F. In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Gradually add flour and salt, then beaten egg. Mix until just combined. Roll out dough to about ½-inch thickness and cut into desired shapes. Place on an ungreased baking sheet, brush with egg wash, and sprinkle with chopped almonds. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
