Old Fashion Corn Bread

Ingredients

1 cup flour

3 teaspoons baking powder

¾ teaspoon salt

¾ cup cornmeal

⅓ cup sugar

1 cup milk

1 egg, beaten

4 tablespoons melted butter

2 ears of corn (or ⅔ cup frozen corn)

Directions

Preheat oven to 425°F. In a bowl, sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Add cornmeal and sugar. Mix in milk, egg, and half the melted butter. Fold in corn. Pour into a heated skillet with remaining butter. Bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown.
