Cherry/Blueberry Muffins

Ingredients

1/2 c butter

1 1/4 c sugar (1 c if using blueberries)

2 eggs

1 1/2 t vanilla

2 c flour

2 t baking powder

3/4 t salt

1/2 c milk

2 c pie cherries or blueberries

Matt Variation:

Zest from 1 orange

1/4 t nutmeg

1/4 t cinnamon

Directions

  1. Cream butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla (add Matt variation ingredients if desired)

  2. Sift flour, baking powder, salt

  3. Mix all together with 1/2 c milk just until combined.

  4. Fold in berries

  5. Grease muffin pan, distribute mixture into 18-24 cups. Sprinkle cinnamon sugar over the tops

  6. Bake 30 min at 375°
